Monel knitted wire mesh/gaskets are produced by special weaving machines, use monel wire as raw material, the finished product is knitted wire mesh tube. Monel knitted wire mesh is most commonly used as economical gaskets for EMI shielding.
BLUE-STAR WIRE MESH can offer monel knitted wire mesh in the standard specifications, opening sizes range from 1 mm x 1 mm to 6 mm x 6 mm, while wire diameters range from 0.10 mm to 0.28 mm, and the manufactured width is up to 600 mm, although more typically 20 mm to 100 mm. The standard wire material are Monel 400.
Monel 400 is an extremely combination property nickel alloy contains approximately 67% nickel, 28% copper and 5% others, in the hydrofluoric acid and fluoride gas medium with excellent corrosion resistance, it is more resistant to oxidation than higher copper alloys and more resistant to reducing conditions than nickel.
2. Benefits
Greater strength and toughness
Light weight and durable
High temperature and excellent corrosion resistant
Soft and nonmagnetic
3. Monel knitted wire mesh materials
Knitted wire mesh is available in three series of different wire materials:
Pure nickel: Nickel 200/201, Nickel 270
Nickel Alloy: Cr20Ni80, Monel 400, Inconel 600
4. Application
Usage of Monel knitted wire mesh includes:
In the EMI & RFI shielding applications, for shielding gaskets, elastomer cores and cable wrap.
In the filtration & separation applications, for the screen of the mist eliminator.
5. Monel knitted wire mesh rolls
Roll width 5 mm, 15 mm, 25.4 mm, 50.8 mm to 600 mm (measured on flat)
